Refunds & Cancellation
Second Shift managed-service plans begin with a 3-month initial term, then run month-to-month — no long-term contract beyond that first term. Backstage licenses are month-to-month. You can cancel at any time; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for, and everything you made with us stays yours. No cancellation fees, no retention calls, no exit-interview gauntlet.
Effective October 28, 2026
Cancelling
Cancel anytime in your portal Billing. The portal schedules your cancellation and emails you a written confirmation with the effective date: the end of the period you've paid for — or, for a Second Shift plan cancelled during its 3-month initial term, the end of that term. Until the effective date, your access and service run in full — nothing locks early — and no charges are made after that date. Changed your mind before the effective date? Withdraw the cancellation in Billing with one click and the plan continues as if nothing happened.
No proration — and why
We do not prorate mid-period, and we do not refund a current period part-way. Instead, the period you paid for is fully yours: service and access run unchanged to the last day of it. Any amount prepaid beyond the effective date is refunded automatically to your original payment method.
Refund requests
Refund requests: email [email protected]. The rules are simple: if a month was delivered, it is not refunded; if a monthly payment was taken and nothing at all was delivered that month — no posts, no deliverables, no report — that month's fee is refunded in full. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days of the decision.
One-off purchases
Digital deliverables — the $29 DIY Kit and digital add-ons — are refundable in full at any time before delivery or download; once delivered or downloaded, the sale is final except where the law requires a refund. One-off services (a Spokesperson Twin, a Live Show Kit, a graphics pack) are refundable in full until work begins.
If we ever miss
If a scheduled post ever misses for a reason on our side, we fix it and apply a service credit to your account automatically — no ticket, no asking, no arguing. The production record is the evidence both sides read.
What cancellation never costs you
Everything you made with us stays yours. Ending the service never costs you your assets: under the Client Services Agreement's no-hostage vault, you receive an export of everything made for you, and your accounts, audience, and content remain entirely yours. We never charge an "export," "release," or "offboarding" fee.
Backstage licenses
Trial: 14 days, full access, no card. A trial license carries no fee and nothing to refund; at expiry, access locks — it never deletes your work — and a paid license on the same record unlocks it with everything you made intact, and still yours under the keep-everything guarantee. Paid licenses (Studio Solo $59/mo · Studio Team $119/mo · Studio Multi $229/mo) are month-to-month unless the license record states otherwise: cancel in your portal Billing the same way — the cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for, access runs in full until then, and no charges are made after that date. Included Backstage access that comes with a Second Shift plan ends when that plan ends; everything made with it stays yours.
The fine print
The full service terms are the Client Services Agreement, published on this site and presented in your portal before a Second Shift plan activates; where this summary and the agreement differ, the agreement governs. Questions or a cancellation: the contact page, or email [email protected].
